3. Students under 18
Many of our applicants and students are under 18. Under section 9 of the DPDP Act we process their data with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, who completes or confirms the registration and joining forms. We do not track children's behaviour or show them advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Examining and affiliating bodies: ICAI, ICSI, ICMAI and Jamia Markaz (Hadiya), only as needed for registration, exams and certificates.
- Service providers who run parts of our systems for us, under our instructions: website and database hosting (Cloudflare), Google sign-in, and our email service. They may not use your data for anything else.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
We publish a student's name, photograph or achievement on the website or social media only with consent. We never sell personal data.
5. How long we keep it
- Applications that do not lead to admission, and job applications that are not selected: deleted within 180 days.
- Student and staff records: for as long as the person is with us, and afterwards for as long as the law or our affiliating bodies require (for example for certificates, accounts and audits).
- Anything else: only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
6. How we protect it
Each person in the portal sees only what their role needs. Identity numbers such as Aadhaar and PAN are masked for office staff. Joining links are single-use and expire in 14 days. Complaints under the POSH Act are seen only by the Internal Committee and the complainant. Study material is read-only. Access is over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you, or the parent of a student under 18, may:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it or the law does not require us to keep it;
- withdraw consent (this may mean we cannot continue a service that depends on it);
- nominate a person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapable; and
- complain to us, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
